John Stone,

John Riley Stone, III, son of John Riley and Kathleen Ann (Neff) Stone, born November 11, 1974 in Manassas, VA passed away on August 28, 2012 at his home in Diana, WV. In addition to his parents he leaves his older brother Court Anthony (Tabitha) Stone of Fairfax, VA; sister Ida Jane Stone of Diana; grandmother Marguerite Neff of Carl Junction, MO; uncle and aunts David Bascom (Debby) Stone of Buckhannon, Paul Allen (Wilma "Jeannie") Stone of Cowen, Philip Carey (Linda) Stone of Diana, Gary William (Linda) Neff of Carl Junction, Thomas Edward (Mary) Neff of Valley City, OH, Annette Marie (Wayne) Dunn of Valley City, Melinda Mae (Dale) Reed of Carrolton, OH, Judith Katherine (Kenneth) Benner of Strongsville, OH, and Midge (Beverly) Clevenger of Youngstown, OH; cousins and close friends Bud Cool, Patty (Junior) Green, Carol Hooper, Patty Cool, Mike Cool, Tom Cool, Jeff Cool, Debby Carpenter, Loretta Rogers, Linda (Mike) Young, Pattie (Glen) Perrine, Becky Stone, Judy Stone Post, Mary Stone, Holly (Trevor) Clark, Adam Stone, Ron Oday, Jan Knop, Charles Dudley, Dean "Kiba" Ciaramella, Andrea Prendergast, Ken Steadman, Charlene (Bill) Bailes, Anita (Todd) Cogar, James Hall, Kelly (Joe) Walter, Wayne Dunn Jr., Suzie and Charlie Neff, Terry (Lisa) Sample, Misty (Alex) Graser, Ken Benner Jr., Margie (Kevin) Sharp, James Neff, and Lloyd Neff. John graduated from Fairfax High School in 1992 and attended Northern Virginia Community College. He loved working with computers and also making computer generated music. He was a member of Cherrydale Lodge #42 in Arlington, VA. He also liked to hunt and fish and played football and basketball. He loved caring for the horses and especially his cat "Pow Pow". John worked as a deputy clerk for the Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Court in Fairfax, VA. He also worked in retail sales and as a Security Officer at Fair Oaks Mall in Chantilly. He had numerous health issues and was disabled. John was well liked by everyone he came in contact with and he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. John was Catholic by faith and his Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Webster Springs. Interment will follow in Big Run Cemetery, Diana. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities c/o St. Anne's Catholic Church, 160 McGraw Avenue, Webster Springs, WV 26288.
